Both domain names denote special meanings we embrace, but we intentionally chose DevCoeur.com to reflect a local flavor and meaning as well as gamifying a bit the discovery process of this very website. In the words of co-founder Jeff, "the eclecticness of requiring people to know how to spell it goes hand in hand with the initiation process. It's a bit unique and once you get past the hurdle you're one of us." Also, our meetups and many of it's core members live in and around Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Coeur is the French word for heart and it is our heart to bring creative developers together in a unique and meaningful way.
